VIEW    READ ONLY    PRINT   SAVE   A    A  vibration and clunking 700 1989 posted by  someone claiming to be jeremy boyd on  Sat Apr 26 14:52 CST 2008 [RELATED] i just put the car up on stands to have a look at the balljoints. they looked a little worn out but i couldn't tell if there was play in them. i did although check for play in the tie rod end and there was lots, i mean lots. i'm probably going to replace both of these parts just to be sure. i got the balljoints for $25 each and i should be able to get the tie rod ends for a similar price. one question, when i was checking for play the tie rod end showed play but the tie rod also moved very slightly. is that natural? thanks for your help. jeremy boyd Mark this post as an answer to my question<- Use this feature to mark quality replies to your post.
