I can corroborate. I had messed around with weber jetting for quite some time in an effort to eliminate a hesitation on acceleration. Eventually I advanced the timing to well past spec....something around 20-22DEG BTDC @ 800RPM and acceleration returned to normal with no hesitation at all.
