Is the B21A motor as reliable and durable as the B230F? 200

The B21A is every bit as reliable as any other engine Volvo built. The unknown, as always, is how it's been taken car of. With regular oil changes, they could easily go 500,000km.

The B21A isn't a horrible engine. It's got decent compression and an A cam. IPD doesn't sell anything that I'm aware of to improve its performance.
