Catalytic converter replacement 93 960 900 1993

A couple of things to consider.

Aftermarket, cheap but loud, usually not designed with double walled down pipes. If you have to get emissions tests, aftermarket not as durable on older engines. Fouls easily with even slight oil usage. May rust out before failure.

OEM expensive, but price has fallen greatly over the last couple of years. Bought my last one for $490.00 at the dealer. OEM has much higher tolerance for oil consumption. Also much quieter with double walled down pipes. Resists rusting, may even last the remaining life of your car.

On my first replacement at 180,000 miles chose the cheaper aftermarket because the dealer was asking about $1,000 for an OEM one, about six years ago. Each of the aftermarket ones never made it the two years to the next emissions test.
