Radio Supression Relays - Boost and Run-On Issues (Long) 700 1989

Greetings,

I'm having fits attempting to solve an electrical issue(s) with my '89 765T (B230FT) and I've narrowed the "offenders" to the radio supression relays on the drivers side strut tower. For the sake of simplicity, I'll label the relays as "White Relay" and "Red Relay". I recently replaced both relays and am still having issues with hesitation at boost when they're both connected.

Here's a list of my recently replaced parts while attempting to solve starting / hesitation issues (it only hesitates at boost): Starter, battery cables, battery, ignition switch, fuel pump relay and engine wiring harness.

My mechanic "bypassed something" about two years ago (he can't remember what) with a wire from the hot side of the coil to the blue wire going into the ignition amplifier harness on the drivers side fender.

When I replaced the radio supression relays, the car would continue to run even after turning the key off and removing the key. Removing the spliced wire from the coil shuts down the car.

The car will now start and shut off properly when the spliced wire from the coil is removed, but it will not boost properly (hesitates).

A FEW DIAGNOSTIC TESTS:
Removing the spliced wire from the coil and disconnecting the Red Relay = car starts, shuts down and boosts fine.
Connecting the spliced wire at the coil and leaving the Red Relay disconnected = starts, will not shut down and boosts.

Connecting the Red Relay and disconnecting the White Relay while connecting the spliced wire at the coil = Starts, Shuts down and hesitates under boost.
Leaving the White Relay disconnected, the Red Relay connected and disconnecting the spliced wire from the coil = no start.

I'm really confused and could certainly use some help.......

Thanks,

Stormie - '89 765T (252,000 miles) + '88 240DL (480,000 miles)
