last visit: Sun Jan 20 15:26 CST 2008[RELATED]I know exactly what you mean. The passenger side of my front air dam has come loose, and it's now kind of wedged between/underneath the bumper edge as best as I can get it. I'll give your method a shot, should I find those clips.

last visit: Tue May 22 20:09 CST 2007[RELATED]Blower housings on 240s contain the heater core, a/c evaporator, blower motor, and two impellers. They are located behind the middle console with the radio, heater controls, center vents, etc. The housing itself is a two piece grey plastic molding with two black plastic enclosures on the ends that each house an impeller. The impeller enclosures have a end cover secured by 6-8 spring steel clips. These are the clips you want for your air dam.
For a visual reference, see Art Benstein's excellent write-up on blower motor replacement:
http://users.erols.com/benstein/
The photo above step 7 shows the clips.
Of course, you don't want to cannibalize your own car for these clips, but you can find them at any P&P with 240s on hand, or some kind soul on the Board might volunteer to donate a few. I would send you some, but all three of our 240s have the problem and I used up the supply from my parts car.
Good luck.

last visit: Tue Nov 17 22:58 CST 2009[RELATED]I've had the same problem and those clips work. Especialy when you don't want to spend the money to get another front air dam.
Thanks
Rodney
