When first started the voltage guage sits right around 12v, where it would be if the car was not running but the key was in accessory position. When i rev the engine up a bit (say to 2500rpm) and let it drop back down to idle the voltage jumps back up into the 14-15 range where it stays the rest of the time the car is running. The battery never drains and the car never fails to start due to a weak battery. The small wire that attaches to the alternator which "excites" the alternator to letting it know the car is running is attached as far as I know works correctly.
