I bought the hitch used and it came with what looked like a factory wiring harness. The harness has plastic plugs which would appear to plug into the tailight wiring at some point. Is there an prewired adapter located somewhere in the vehicle harness or am I missing an adapter to splice into the harness? Also, where is the best place to mount the wiring plug? The plug which accepts the trailer light plug is about 3 inches in diameter and has 3 mounting screws. I was thinking about mounting in the hole left after removing the tow hook.
