Hi, I'm in the process of installing a set of power heated mirrors from a '92 240 into my '82 245. I have a '92 donor car that had manual mirrors. The interior has been completely removed from this car and I looked all through it and couldn't find the mating plugs that goes to the power mirrors in it. Are they not installed in a non-power mirror car? If not, does anyone here have a set with a short length of wires that I could use to splice in. Thanks, Charles

As Hardknocks said if the donor didn't have power/heated mirrors from the factory it won't have the harness. AND don't bother pulling one from a pre-92 car, the wiring is different in the '92-93 mirrors and harnesses/switches from '91 and earlier cars won't work.
Found out the hard way when I pulled everything but the switches from a '92 donor for my '88, ended up paying $50 each from Volvo for them. Looking at the Volvo Green manual shows a different wiring scheme for those 2 years.
BTW Hi Mike, hope things are going well.
Dave

Not surprised the switches are NLA. If you have a harness available for the OP it's well worth his time/$$ to get it so he can add the mirrors, especially if he's in a cold area. That heated function is great.
If you're interested there are some videos friends took while wheeling at http://jeepspace.jeepforum.com/videos.php?u=100739 I don't spend much time here any more, the interface is just too slow/kludgy to read after using V-bulletin based forums and there is little I can add that others can't.
Cheers
Dave

I have 1984 console in my 93 wagon. The actual switches looked identical to me although I used the 93 switches. The only difference I noticed is that the harness wires are in different locations. So the switch still works, but the switch lines up differently in the console. As a result, If you line up the 93 switch/harness in the old console it is off by 90 degrees. Up is to the left instead of up. Right is down instead of right, etc.
In any case its easy to push the wires out of the wiring harness plugs and move them around to match the switch.

hello
if the car you are planning to put power/heated mirrors into never had them that means you need the wiring harness, relay, mirror switches (specific to newer 240) and heater function switch along with a few hours (minimum) to install.
then if you are lucky enough for the heating function to work you are good to go.
if you want to complete this project i have access to all the parts you will need excluding the mirrors.
it would be worth no less than one hundred bucks for me to pull and ship the parts as its a bit of work for sure.
once completed its a nice option.
good luck
