740 turbo cranks long hot, cranks short cold 700 1989

As 740 owners know, this solid brick usually cranks 3-5 times and starts, regardless of weather and engine temp. Mine, however, now takes 7-10 cranks to start when warm, and instantly fires up when cold. The fuel pressure reg has been replaced. Any suggestions?

Thanks -- Cranky

I have the same problem with a 1990 760 Turbo (215,000 miles) and have replaced the fuel pressure regulator. The only reason I bring this up is to move this post back to top hoping for a reply.

I also have a 1989 760 Turbo that starts within the second revolution every time regardless of the engine temp.

Thanks for any help.

Happy Bricking,
Mike
