So, I got my brick running again. What I thought was an ignition problem turned out to be a slipped timing belt.
Anyway, everything was working for a blissful day and a half; but after that my lo-beams, parking lights, fog lights and dash lights all went out. I've been all through the kick panels and console looking for a bad relay ("main light relay"?) but haven't found a bad one and I'm not sure what I'm looking for or where to find it. Does anyone know where it is or what could be the problem?

This happened to me after installing an aftermarket gauge - I had wired in the lighting backwards and kept blowing the fuse. This was on a 740, but see if you can check Haynes or Bentley to see which fuse controls those lights.

Hey man,
I'm sitting here with my Bentley 240 book looking through the relays for you.
For starters you could check (With a voltmeter) the high/low beam dip relay which is mounted on the side of the fender next to the battery.
Remove the carpet behind the brake and gas pedal and you will see two relays and another relay to the upper right of the two joined relays. That is your headlight relay. Once again check that (The plug.) with a voltmeter to see if you're getting any juice there.
That should get you rolling in the right direction. I'd keep looking but it's storming like a son of a gun out here so I should probably get off the computer. Let me know if this helps!
