Before you take your front struts out, mark on the shock towers where your notches on the plate are. When you reassemble it, you should be close. As far as the rear, it would be really nice to do the panhard bar while you are in there, as this will allow you to get the axle centered again under the car. I assume you are going to be putting Koni's or Bilstein HDs in there as well when you do this upgrade? I think you'll find that most other shocks will fail within a year of installation of sport springs. At least that is my experience. You'll have a pretty aggressive looking Volvo that handles nicely if you've got the swaybars, sport springs, HD shocks, and all of your bushings, tie rod ends, and strut bushings in good shape. New torque rods would be nice, but in the interest of saving some cash right now, I'd probably risk going without. You'll find out quickly if you have any pinion angle issues that make the car howl going down the road. As soon as you heal some from the ipd purchase, go ahead and get your car aligned again. It is probably good policy. Good luck!
