It is retrofitted with R134a and it looks like a factory retrofit. It is no longer that cold but it is still operating. I think it might just be low on R134a and need some added. You can try the DIY from wallyworld, but not knowing how much is in there, you are taking a gamble. Only 68 degrees when measuring the inside vent. Mechanic suggests I need accumulator. The receiver/dryer. Installed in my 740 I have a factory retrofit from R12 to R134a. Can anybody suggest an exact replacement accumulator receiver/dryer? An actual part number or supplier link would be most helpful. USA. I have taken a photo and can say that from the front of the car one valve goes straight back into the interior of the car and another goes directly forward to the condenser. These two main valves are opposite each other on the accumulator. Then on the left is a valve that has a cap and no connection. And to the right is an electric sensor connector. The filler valve is on the pipe from the valve that leads directly back to the interior.
