The time has come that my headliner has failed on my 740 wagon w/ sunroof. Yesterday I pulled off all of the fabric and scarped/vacuumed off all of the old foam. Now I have that beautiful headliner board! Due to lack of funds/time/motivation to put new fabric of the board, I'm thinking about priming and then painting it (while it is in the car). Yes, I am aware that there will be a small gap between the board and the sunroof. All of the old adhesive is all dried and 99.9% of the foam is gone. Has anyone painted theirs? If so, please share what kind of paint and other helpful tips. I refuse to use spray paint since the board will remain in the car. Was painting it successful for anyone?
