Dear Bricksters
I recently locked myself out of my radio by trying to put the code in three times-only I transposed numbers all three times. Anyway I'm getting the EEE code (or EEEE code) and apparently need to wait two hours.
I think I tried exactly what the manual recommends to do but it appears it may not be written fully clearly or I screwed up somehow.
the manual says ..... "After three unsuccessful coding attempts the set locks for two hours." During this waiting period: (1) the battery must be connected (2)the ignition key must be turned to position 1 (3) the unit must be turned on.
question: it's been a few weeks now that the radio has been in this state. do all three steps need to be done at least two hours, preferably more? does the radio actually have to be on? are these instructions actually accurate and I'm reading too much into them? These instructions don't seem to intuitive.
Thanks in advance
