Saying Goodbye for now 200

I wanted to write and say goodbye to all the wonderful folks here on the brickboard. You have been a lot of help and have made owning my 240 wagon a great experience.

I am selling my green 240 and moving on to the next thing. It's a little sad. I think most people would look at the pictures in the craigslist add and say oh there's another mouldering old Volvo. It's actually a great car that needs some driveline attention, more attention than I can give it right now.

All the Best!

Mark.

Good Luck Mark. I went over and looked at your listing and all I can say is that if I'd seen that 3 years ago then I wouldn't have my current 245 project

because I would've bought yours. What a deal! You've done most of the mods already that I'm doing on mine. It sure could've saved me alot of work and

money. I'm even digging that green color! I was going to paint my project pearl white but aftewr seeing your post I'm thinking folks around here might

start calling me Kermit! I'm even thinking of getting a custom window decal

that says "It's not easy being Green" Take Care and come back anytime. Charles

Charles,

I love that green! Well of course that would be expected. People either like it or hate it.

I applied the paint with a 4" touch up roller. I can beat most novices driving any other car in autocrosses even with the gutless engine.

I am hoping I find someone who can realize the true value of this car.

Best Regards,

Mark.

When I wrote the add, I thought that I'd be scaring away people by writing too much. I think now that the add is a filter for people who have a clue what I am selling. Someone called today and wants to see the car. He is looking for his dad who owns several Volvos in Sacramento. Sounds like a good deal.

I am hoping it doesn't go to someone that runs it into the ground and sends all those really cool parts to the junk yard.

Best Regards,

Mark

Amen to that brother. I only wish that I was in a buying position. I think it's going to take the right person. But, if it did unfortunately fall into the wrong hands and did end up in the salvage yard, I'd probably pay to know which one it went to, Hmmmm? No, seriously, good luck finding the right buyer. But, on the other hand if something changes and you decide to part it out you can call me @ (970)208-3256 seriously. Take Care, Charles

Yes I think I got the bug allright! 200

Yes, it all started that fateful day when I went across town to visit the local Volvo Guru. He spun tales of Volvos past as if they were his own kin. Little did I know that the odd habits of twirling a 10mm wrench in his right hand while mumbling something backwards in Swedish I assume was in actuality a Swedish love curse for these queerly angular coffin shaped machines. 3 hours later I trudged out of there like a Swedish Boris Karloff like zombie while visions of Flathoods danced in my head. The result: I have 5 of them now! 'Nuff said!
