92 245 Torque converter failure??? 200

My AW70 tranny experience is limited... but I had a similar occurrence with my M47. Turns out the flexible coupling (between trans output shaft and driveshaft) died, 2 months after I replaced it. Simple visual inspection was all that was needed to make that determination. Not sure if the auto-trans 240's use that coupling, but it's a good place to look. Also, the tranny tailshaft bushing might have given up the ghost. Any leakage there?

Seat of my pants says if you've got TC problems, you'll see metal in the oil real soon. I really doubt your tall final drive (3.31, right?) is responsible.
