Fuel Pump? Relay? Wiring Harness??? 200 1980

Bought the wagon in July and she'd been sitting since 2001. We figured the fuel pump would be going fairly soon due to that length of time not being driven. The fuel gauge hasn't worked since I had it and about two weeks ago the Temp gauge.. didn't stop but doesn't read correctly. Last week the Odometer/ trip counter stopped working. Now, I know about the little gear that breaks on the trip counter, and was told that the odometer would stop too, if that broke. But I'm still thinking there is something electrical going on, because driving home the other night, the lights would dim and the heater would "dim" when I let off the gas. Alternator. Right? The next morning she just wouldn't start. We can get her chugging and wanting to turn over, but as soon as we let off the ignition and start pumping to get her to catch, she just clunks off.

Is everything falling to poo at once just in time for the holidays? Or is there maybe one or two things contributing to the problem? Any help would be great. I am a novice, but am more than willing to learn how to take care of things myself. My boyfriend is throwing his hands in the air over the wagon, but I love her too much to junk her and get something else.
