I've got a few minor problems i'd like some help with. The car is a 1992 740T wagon.
The cruise control will engage, picks up speed rapidly and disengages. I've tried pulling up on the brake pedal when driving, no help and checked for vacumn leaks, all looks good. I noticed when checking the vacumn lines, what i'm going to call the cruise control vacumn pump, located on the drivers side lower fenderwell had nipples for two lines, but only one line connected which came from the "t" behind the throttle servo. I can't see any evidence of another line, should there be something there to hook up to this nipple on the vacumn pump?
The bulb failure light comes on in the dash cluster only when the brake pedal is depressed. (Could this have something to do with question #1) All of the lights on the car work as they should. The only thing somewhat odd is the passenger taillight i'm assuming has been replaced by someone before me. It only has 3 bulb sockets and does not have the top socket for the fog light (it has a blank cover), the drivers side light has 4 sockets and the fog light on the top works when the switch is activated. Could missing this one socket/bulb cause the lamp failure light to appear?
Power sunroof, will open most of the time but won't close most of the time. When the switch is depressed the motor clicks, most of the time after numerous tries with the switch it will close but is getting worse. I'm going to clean the contacts on the switch and check the ground on the motor tommorrow. Most likely switch or motor?
Thanks in advance.
