1993 945T, 100Kmiles.
My car idles at ~900rpm (it is controlled at 900rpm as indicated on the dash). There are no vacuum leaks that I can find. The idle control valve and idle switch work.
I pulled off the vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator and got no increase in idle when the vacuum hose formerly attached to it is plugged. (There is an increase if the vacuum hose is not plugged as would be expected.) The car drives and starts fine. There is no smoke.
I was under the impression that the idle should increase when the fuel pressure regulator has no vacuum on it. Is this the case (even for the late models with more advanced fuel injection systems?)
Thanks,
Steve
