Realignment required after replacing oil pan? 700 1982

My Chilton manual says that the oil pan can be changed without removing the engine from the car by dropping the front suspension member while supporting the engine in some other manner. Is an alignment required after reattaching the suspension member? Advised? Or unnecessary?

Thanks.
