89 780 fuel tank hose needed

Hey folks!

My 1989 780 has a bad tank outlet hose, it's a dual hose setup apparently, and buried above the rear end.

It's the hose from the tank, and not the filler neck seal one.

I have called several known Volvo parts sources; FPC Groton, IPD, etc.

No one has it, The Volvo dealer localy says it's NOT AVAILABLE anymore, and that it is NOT the same as the 740/760 series tank/hose.

If anyone has a 780 with the same tank as the 89', I would love to get a hold of this hose, in any condition. If I had even a hose in bad condition, I could have a new one made at a hydraulic hose company here.

THe problem is my 89 is a daily driver, so I can't just take that one off, get one made to match, etc. and still drive it to work the next day.

Anybody ever hear of this problem? My mechanic, who was a former dealer master Volvo tech didn't even realize the hose is different on the 780's, as most all of the other mechanical items are interchangeable as we all know.

Help, as I'm losing precious gas due to this leak, and spill major puddles if i happen to fill the tank too full..
