Ah ha! .... And that could be it! ...

Ah ha! I didn't think of that possibility -- good for you!

But if he adjusted it, it may be too "tight", and not letting the throttle linkage back down against the (screw) stop on the throttle body; and if that's the case, maybe it also isn't closing the throttle position switch that lets the ECU know that the engine is in "idle" mode. This could screw things up.

Just guessing, of course, until we hear from the guy again.
