Rubbish...

I tend to agree with you....Kinda....Sorta. We were taught some basics that are not taught today. One of the main things was to respect yourself, then you could become able to respect others. Kids today have no respect for you aor what is yours, because they have never learned self respect. They have not lines that they dare not cross. My Daughter is an Associate Professor of Languages at a well known California University. We often talk about the differences in the way that I was reared, and she as well, and the way that the typical child is brought up today. I have a flash for you. My Mom and Dad would have taken the teacher's side in a heartbeat, and would have beaten my ass in front of the entire class. I learned respect early (and often). Lots of people are against Corporal Punishment. They seem to think that it hinders a child developing his inner self. I think that it accelerates the child learning right from wrong, and acceptable deportment from the unacceptable. In that regard, justice needs to be swift, and sure. If the consequences of unacceptable behavior are unpleasant enough, they are unlikely to be repeated. In the real world, there is no alternate ending. What you get is what you get.
