Was out all day got home and found...an oven. I opened the door and my fricken hair blew back like I had some boiler going and waiting for more coal.
FoooOOOOOOM!!!!!
Hello? Bueller? Bueller?
Ac off? WHY? Oh jeeeez, the fricken filter door came loose agin because the train changing yard is behind my house. Did I say I lvoed trains? I do. But they have a delitorious effect on my filter cover, that skaes lose from the ground tembling when they change cars. An occasional annoyance in winter when its raining.
But truth be told, I would rather have the heat fail to kick on than the cool. I don;t mind the cold. I keep the house at about 54 in winter. But heat? Ehehe. And I do not have a root cellar to sleep in this house.
Climb into the trench in the crawl space. Thwack the cover. Smell something....tastey. EEElectric. Schweeet. Gotta siezed fan motor. Is there a chance its something some turbine oil will fix?
Quick, get to the store for a big window fan to replace the last one that blew up about 4 years ago. be glad you put your small AC unit in you home office window a few weeks ago to help with the load in teh grilled side of the house.
Sigh.
Does anyone here know anything about replacing forced air fans? And what to check for before I call in the high priced name A/Heating guys to do something that can be easily fixed? I am brave, but household electrical items worry me. especially when they have their own special fuse system.
I also am basically just too sick and under too much medication right now to deal with something like this, so any guidance would be really appreciated.
