Here in Roundup, MT the 4th is some pretty serious business. The festivities began last night with an ice cream social down at the Musselshell County museum. We've got bands playing at the fair grounds throughout the weekend, two different parades, Shakespeare in the park, the obligatory fireworks display, an arts and crafts fair and lots of other stuff that I am forgetting. Pretty big doin's for a town of 1,900 people in the middle of nowhere and access to all events for only fifteen bucks!
I will be helping a friend at her cafe for awhile today by grilling hand-made bratwurst on the barbecue out on the sidewalk in front. Afterwards I've been invited to a big shindig being thrown by the little old lady next door, her instructions were that the only thing I should bring is a big appetite!
