Italian road circus

Just back from a whirl through parts of Italy and most of San Marino. Put 2200 kilometers on a Fiat Punto diesel with no complaints. If Fiat could make the thing hold together for 100 thousand miles or more they would OWN General Motors. Wandered around some beautiful countryside and only got lost a few times a day, but I've always found the best stuff when I was lost. Had some nice meals and saw lots of stuff.

Casual automobile based observations. The lines on the road, like speed limits and stop signs are only suggestions. A six foot wide car will fit through a five foot wide street. Go ahead and pass on the curve, you can't see around it so there isn't anything coming. SUVs require two lanes on the Autostrada. Every farmer needs a pickup, but the Europeans have a better solution.

The folks at the Lamborghini factory have an attitude. Maybe they have earned it, but why did they think I wasn't a customer?
