Some numbers.

The site I follow for general polling- and have quoted many times is:

Real Clear Politics

Becuase it does running averages of all the polls out there, I think we can see the general trends moving through the country. If a poll comes from an extremely left or right source, it does tend to flag it, so you know. It also links to an interesting variety of articles - again doing the flagging if necessary- that provides a wide array of information. If you follow the right links, you can get some pretty hard core information.

It is from this, that I have always felt arguments calling Clinton an automatic loser a bit specious and using money as a measure of popularity a dangerous assumption. It also defies the cries of anyone being particularly liberal. The Economist sees both Obama and Hillary in a very different light than 'liberal'. "Shock".

Whatever one thinks any of the candidates or their platforms, this is what the nation is saying as a whole.

Obama vs McCain

Clinton vs McCain
