Yesterday was a "bank holiday" here. Temps had been steadily rising all weekend. Dullish sky, trying to rain now and then but definitely getting warmer. Then, this morning, wow! Blue sky, wall to wall sun, temps in the 20's (OK 70's). I've been waiting for this, almost desperate for some good weather. I like snow, as some of you know, but I can't stand the protracted cold wind, low temperature spring that's dragged on here. And suddenly, summer's here. The hedges have shot up, overnight it seems. Grass needed mowing twice this last week. I know this is nothing if you're in Texas or Florida but Ed and Sil and others in the north will know what I mean. Suddenly I can go out in just a shirt and feel the sun on my back. It's forecast to be good all week, well southern England anyway. Better make the most of it......Regards.
