I have a desktop fan whose motor isn't what it used to be. The fan's RPMs are slower than before and the blade seems to have more resistance because the blade stop spinning more quickly when the fan is shut off.
Is this an issue of some light machine oil needed in certain places, or is the motor dying? Can it be repaired by someone like me with some electrical experience? Yes, it's only a fan but I hate to throw away something so bulky if it can be repaired.
Thanks.
