Socialized countries in Europe offer responsible working stiffs like me a FAR better deal, and this last piece of legislation takes the cake. So married couples with kids who make the same amount that I do and pay far fewer taxes get back 3 times the amount of money? Come again? I laugh when I consider that almost HALF of my income goes to taxes in the US, for which I get ZIP in return. OK, I do have roads built in my area, but we have bridges now closed due to 'lack of funds.' Where is it going? By the time I pay SS, Medicare taxes, and my health insurance premiums, I am actually paying exactly what I would pay in Europe to buy into the system. And I would actually GET free health care. No co-pays. I really wish middle class Americans who scream communism would wake and see that this is the little game that gets fed to them, and they fall into every time. They would get so much more back for their money, and a lot of wealthy Europeans seem to have no desire to all move to the US.
