America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) released the results of a "study" in which they threaten the American public with a 111% percent increase in premiums by 2019 if the Baucus Bill becomes law. This "study" by AHIP is the best argument I have heard yet on why we need a strong public insurance option in any reform bill that is passed. Thanks AHIP atypical honesty coupled with your attempts at holding the American people hostage have made my arguments for me!

The Baucus Bill will legally compel the American people to provide profit to the very entities responsible for the current deplorable state of health care in this country. I have already informed my state Senator, none other than Mr. Baucus himself, that should a final reform bill pass without a public option that I will be voting for his opponent in the next election regardless of who that opponent may be. Somehow I doubt that he is too concerned though when he compares my vote to the 3.something million dollars given to him by health care industry interests this year.
