It is a very good price, indeed. The only $$ problem area is the AC, if the evaporator leaks it is a 10 hour operation to replace it - lots of labor $$$.
If you do not DIY, this car can become expensive. I can do 4 brake rotors and pads for a couple of hundred in parts, a shop will charge $6-900.
The hardest thing I have ever done is replacing the oil separator, which can get clogged and start causing extensive damage to engine seals.
Take it your Indy and have it gone over for about $100. A worthwhile investment for any used car. Remember, everything he finds does not need to be fixed, but should be watched. I had my 1998 R insepected by Volvo, and they told be the steering rack needed to be replaced. Another mechanic said it was only weeeping and this went away for the next 55K miles - I never turn the wheel to lock and hold it there :)
Ask your neighbor to supply you with all of the maintenance records and then keep a book of them. If you wish to resell in a few years, that book will be worth $5-800 to the next person.
BTW, next time, there is a section on the brickboard for AWD/FWD cars and many people to help you. GATHERINGS is not a good place to be heard.
