This picture has my 2 "sportwagons". Very different cars separated by 21 years. T.T. was repainted in custom candy orange 3 years ago and just got a new set of shoes to match. Big Red just got her "shoes" repainted slightly darker than original.
The 94 855T is modified with IPD ECU, Exhaust, strut tower brace, IPD lowering springs, Bilstein struts & shocks, Brembo cross drilled rotors , SS brake lines, Axxis/deluxe pads, K&N filter, IPD/VDO a pillar boost guage, 17" Volvo 7 spoke wheels w/215x45x17 proxes T-1 Plus tires.
The 73 1800ES is stock except for the custom paint, custom finished Volvo 15" wheels with 195x60x15 Michellin MXV4's, IPD antisway bars, & 1n Alpine tape/reciever unit and 12 disk CD changer.
I am the original owner of both these cars and have enjoyed them both over the years.

I just got the car. It was purchased for $380 through eBay.com from a guy in Arkansas(same state as our prez "Slick Willy Clinton", hence the name). It doesn't run and is rough...but it's coming along. So far I've got the leather saddle soaped and ready to condition. I should have the fuel injection system fixed and the car running in the next week. It won't actually be on the road till I give it a complete suspension and brake system upgrade from IPD. I plan to run the V6 for all it's worth and then replace it with a newer V6. I'll repost a pict when I'm done and get rid of the white wall tires

Hi folks. After a 15 year absence, I'm back in the Volvo family. My first one was a 1973 264. Now I'm tooling around town in a '98 S70 that draws more than a few appreciative nods because of the color: it's coral red. (At least I think that's the right name.) All I can say is that I can't believe I waited this long to get another Volvo. (My last car was an Audi A4).

This is my 1992 850 GLT (non-turbo) which I recently converted to a 850 R look-a-like by mounting bumpers from a 1995 T5-R. For more info on this car and several modifications on the suspension and engine, visit my homepage at:

Here's my first volvo. Since I rescued it from years under a pine tree, it's gone from mutt to greyhound. I learned how to tune the carbs and did a rebuild myself. The front rotors went at the same time and RPR was able to get me some new ones. It really turns heads in our sleepy college town, and I took it up to Washington DC for the 4th of July last year and got the same response. She's been totally restored on the inside, with two tone black and tan interrior. I love it!

This is a design project I did at school, sponsored by Volvo's California studio. The inspiration is from the p1800 estate. This vehicle offers the driving feel of a sports car with decent luggage capcity.

This is The Ambassador. So named because several people have commented that they feel like one while riding in the backseat. He's been very good to me so far (1 1/2 years). Taken me comfortably across country twice without a hitch. Born and raised in North Carolina. Only modification has been the stereo. I installed a 10 disc CD changer and new speakers. Now I don't even want to get out of the car in the morning/evening.

This is my C70. The picture was taken at my college in Sewanee, TN. I have added only IPD sway bars to this car, but am planning to do more mods this summer. This car is an absolute delight to drive and is an incredible car for long road trips (TX-TN).

Hi I'm Juan and this is my pride and joy. My dad had her shipped from Sweden in 1990. I recently put those Concord Type 1 on her, and they make the car look so much better. Then me and my friend painted the brake calipers red since their exposed now. Easy to do and looks great. I also put on a nose cover(IPD) which I think looks good. I'm thinking of getting a spoiler or wing as my next project. If you have any suggestions on styles of spoilers and where to get them, or any comments or suggestions please e-mail me anytime at jcm80@flash.net. For a couple of more pics including a closeup of the wheel visit my Home Page at: www.flash.net/~jcm80/pics.htm.
By the way I love this site!

Hey, I am 16 and this is my first car, a Volvo 740 Turbo Intercooler. I am very happy with this car, its in great condition and still performes great. Being in high school I need a car that is pretty fast and this car is defenatly it. Most people see it and think, "hey its a Volvo, it has no heat," oh but how their wrong. I wanna get rid or the bike rack but I lost the key, I guess thats what I get for not cleaning my room. I have a lot of future plans for this car to improve it like suspension upgrades, wheels, and maybe a new paint job. I take care of the car so much that if it gets a little dirty I have to clean it. So far the car hasn't been in an major accedent from this new driver but one day before school something happened that almost gave me a heartattack, I was stoped at a red light when suddenly this lady in this white car was going way to fast and tried to fit inbetween this 4 ft gap between me and this Jeep Grand Cherokee. She amazingly made it through but knocked by bumper and took off my passenger side mirror, fourtunatly I didn't suffer as much damage as the Jeep, that person got a big mark all over the side of the car and screwed up the wheels. And what the worst part was, the lady in the white car took off before anyone could get its license plate. I'm a Volvo fan forever, even though I still would like to have a 94-98 Mustang GT or a Camero Z28 like this girl who I like at school has.

I bought this poor Volvo from a guy that was about to go to work in the USA once again. He had been trying to sell it for 12 000 FIM but finally I got it for 4000 (divide by 5.5 for dollars).
This was a 2.1l automatic with this rare front mask. I drove 4 years & 40 000 kms with it before crashing it to another Volvos tail (she stopped at yellow even though she was a taxi driver!!). I got 3900 FIM for the wreck.
If you wonder about the color, it's olive green, matt roof paint. It began to get some rust so I decided to make it one-colored car again - we had real fun when painting it.
I had to weld the floor a little bit and - lazy as I am - didn't bother to take too much stuff out from the floor. I only found out about those melted main cables after about a year when it was quite wet and she really did not want to start. Then I noticed the slight smoke coming from under the carpet and renewed the cables.
Well, it was a good car anyway. Now I have a 740 - not crashed yet! :)

Bricks in NASCAR!!! This picture of my 850 was taken on pit road at Charlotte Motor Speedway in March of 1998 when I was there for a 3 day driving school at FastTrack. It actually saw some laps there as it was used for initial instruction on preferred lines etc.
Currently having 83k miles on it, it has had the IPD ECU upgrade, Cat back exhaust system, K&N filter, IPD lowering springs, Bilstein Struts & Shocks, IPD Strut Tower Brace, & 17" wheels and tires since 15k miles. It also has the Brembo stock size cross drilled rotors and SS brake line package with the Axxis Deluxe pads.
It sits beside my orange 1800ES in the garage.

This is my '79 245 Wagon, which I have had since January '98, since when my Dad and I have done a few things to it.
It has been lowered approx 2" with stiffer springs and better shocks, 242GT 15" wheels were powder-coated gloss black and fitted, with 205/60/15 tyres, a '79 242GT front spoiler has been fitted, rear bumper has been replaced with a plastic one from a '83 model, '83 model plastic mirrors were fitted, front aluminium bumper was painted satin black, driving lights were mounted behind the grille, and a sports steering wheel was fitted along with a Pioneer CD player.
Since the photo was taken, a 4" tailpipe has been fitted, a Statos Sports seat has also been fitted and the engine has been completely rebuilt.

In response to the AWD post about the 3/8 Autoweek pic of the replacement S70, compare to what has been called the new S60 and note the similarities. Almost identical, no? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I picked up this 854 01/20/99 and have been loving it every minute of my ownership. I'd never owned a Volvo - but had always heard good things about them. While it's not as fast as many of my previous cars, it's still a joy to drive and own.
Hans is a goot boy. Yah.
