SCAM WARNING: This is a warning about a scam where foreign brokers attempt to fraudulantly collect finder's fees on vehicles.
Here's how it goes:
A foreign buyer sends a check for your vehicle, which includes the Broker's commission.
The Broker asks for you to send the commission to him.
The check for the vehicle turns out to be bad.
If you sent the commission check, you are now out the commission and the sale will never happen.
Be careful when dealing with people asking for fees on transactions.
Requests for email addresses are logged and actively monitored. Any suspicious activity will be reported to proper authorities.
