SRS Message Reset?

While reading this great evap replacement guide:
http://www.woodjoiner.com/volvo/VolvoEvapReplace.pdf

I noticed this neat little piece of information on page 21:

Warning: Nobody should be in the vehicle. The
ignition switch must be in position 2 (II). First
reconnect and tighten the positive battery lead,
then quickly snap the negative battery lead in
place, and tighten it. Next, switch the ignition
off then on again, and check to see that the SRS
error light on the instrument panel goes off
after about ten seconds.

Maybe this will reset the SRS light without having to go to the dealer?

Just thought I'd put it out there for consideration, as the common knowledge on this forum is that the SRS light must be reset by the dealer if it comes on.
