bolts for thermostat housing V70 1998

Hello folks,

Some of you may have read my other post in which I explained how I had a stuck bolt on my thermostat housing.

I had to destroy that bolt in order to get the thermostat out, so now I am tasked with replacing that bolt.

Do I need to get a certain alloy bolt? The thermostat housings (upper and lower) are both made of aluminum, so I think steel bolts would be a bad idea...

is brass okay?

is there a special bolt you're supposed to get for this purpose? If so, is there a substitute I might be able to find without going to the dealer? (perhaps from a specialty fasteners dealer, etc?)
