I have been getting a noise from front end that sounds like a bad tire or failing wheel bearing. Noise starts around 35 mph and seems to peak at 71 mph. Have swapped tires back to front with same results. Suspected left front bearing so I changed the bearing and hub, same results. Now the possibilities seem to be right front bearing or the small bearing inboard of the viscous coupler on the right axle.
Any suggestions on how to diagnose the real problem.
Does the viscous coupler and bearing inboard of it come off without pulling the entire axle from the tranny?
