I have a question that I hope someone can shed some light on. My 03 V70 has an issue in which in light rain if I have the wipers on the slowest setting for delayed wiping, the wipers will after a while start wiping very rapidly and go full speed. This happens even when there is little to no rain. I brought the car to the dealer who sold it to me. The service guy said that the sensor showed no fault codes, thus could not be diagnosed as defective. He said the design is defective and this is a common problem that many owners resolve by disconnecting the sensor. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any advice? Thank you.

Just bought a 03 V70 T5 AWD. It is my second Volvo. My 1995 960 had over 250K on it when I sold it. I hope this one lasts that long too.
