opinions on clamps vs zip ties for vacuum hoses? 850 1994

Discovered a broken hose leading from turbo CBV to intake manifold, so I ordered some hose, now I am wondering if I need to use clamps, as on the original rubber hose, or if I can use zip ties, as sold in the silicon hose kits?? On the one side, itt may be difficult to tighten a worm hose clamp. It was not easy removing the existing pinch type metal clamp with a needle nose pliers (those clamps with three tabs that need to be brought together to release tension). On the other hand, plastic and the heat back there (near EGR line) doesn't sound like a good deal for zip ties.

I ordered the hose (4mm) from stylin motors dot com. much faster than dealing with dealer, whose parts man didn't understand what I was talking about.
