Well my 850 has been sitting for over a month now with a dead trans...Imagine that a 93 with a bad trans, I am glad it did make it to 160000. I pulled a tranny from a 93 at the pull a part for $48 but when i went back to the car about a week later I noticed the trunk of the car was full of empty atf cans, so I don't think I'll be fooling with that tranny. I went to a very good independent volvo shop and found one for $600..Ouch!!! But my passat glx is nowhere close to being as fun as my 850. But the guy at the shop told me that I did not want to put another 93 trans in my car and that newer versions would fit it fine but I would have to change something with the cooling lines. If anyone has some advice or a better deal on a trans please let me know. I'm in Lou ky
