roof racks 850 1995

Hello, I just got a used in great shape roof rack system for my car. Looking to do the install and put the volvo locks into it as well. Does anyone have the step by step instruction on the install of these?
I get the units on the car with no problem, but when I try and install the volvo lock kits I just can't get everything to line up correctly. What is being done wrong here? Looking for some help thanks.

Which racks? Do you mean the load bars for a wagon or the 2 bars that fit in the upper door seal?

The locks are not that diffficult to install. Just don't forget, one bar is for the front, the other is for the rear.

I did some extra checking on this and the load bars where put on correctly as far as what should be front and rear setups. I noticed that the load bars have a volvo pictured under the black covers showing you what position that they belong in. (the picture is of a wagon). Does that have any bearing as to whether or not they could be on a sedan? According to the volvo dealers around hear it should not matter.

Still can not line up the volvo lock kits for these at all.

Load bars are the same size for all 850s, sedan or wagon through 2000. I have a set that interchanged between my 1995 854 and 1998 V70.

As to the key locks, they should replace the black button in the cover, not change the length of the bar.

You really don't need the locks, when the doors are locked, the bars are also locked.
