last visit: Sat Nov 21 21:14 CST 2009[RELATED]Which racks? Do you mean the load bars for a wagon or the 2 bars that fit in the upper door seal?
The locks are not that diffficult to install. Just don't forget, one bar is for the front, the other is for the rear.

last visit: Fri Sep 11 15:31 CST 2009[RELATED]I did some extra checking on this and the load bars where put on correctly as far as what should be front and rear setups. I noticed that the load bars have a volvo pictured under the black covers showing you what position that they belong in. (the picture is of a wagon). Does that have any bearing as to whether or not they could be on a sedan? According to the volvo dealers around hear it should not matter.
Still can not line up the volvo lock kits for these at all.

last visit: Sat Nov 21 21:14 CST 2009[RELATED]Load bars are the same size for all 850s, sedan or wagon through 2000. I have a set that interchanged between my 1995 854 and 1998 V70.
As to the key locks, they should replace the black button in the cover, not change the length of the bar.
You really don't need the locks, when the doors are locked, the bars are also locked.
