Need to get center crank pulley off. Any ideas on how I can hold the crank in place
while I break and remove the center nut? Pix would be great or links to instructions would be really nice. Doing this to replace the front crank seal, it's been leaking for years and I figure it's time to fix it, since it now is losing a quart oil every 500 miles (snythetic)Ouch!.
Thanks for any help!!!

The rope trick still applies, just a little harder to do with the spark plugs sticking straight up and several inches down.
As the #1 cyl is about to get to TDC, drop a few inches of 1/4 inch rope into the cylinder so that it coils on top of the piston. The rope keeps the cyl from reaching TDC and you can then apply torque to the crank pully. Mark the crank pully with white out!
