Worked to take the slack out of mine ...but you have to rock the steering shaft back and forth until you get it fully adjusted ... you also might make sure that the lubricant has not leaked out ... HYPOID oil is what is required .. goes in the adjuster hole in the top of the box .... I was about to go through the agony of removing and replacing mine when we decided to try the adjusting route ... now steers just like a new one ;-) --
