we have addressed this topic before but I must tell you that the info you have is wrong. That would work to the dealer getting back $5000 to $6000 and I can guarantee you it does not happen! The loaner assistance depends on the model but it is as little as $1,200 and up to $2,000. Then, you must keep in mind that the dealer is paying floorplan on that car for 4 months (because car cannot be sold) which can amount up to $8/day.

So, I don't get it how it works out to be $1.00 per mile driven.
