Has any one replaced their cabin air filter? Was it difficult?

Replacing the cabin air filter is a breeze. What I found was that the original filter was stuck in the frame because of some glue on the edges that holds the foam spacer onto the filter. A little persuasive tugging eventually released the filter.
The filter is located on the passenger side, so you need to remove the panel under the glove box. At that point with the panel removed you should see a "trap door" running front to back. The trap door is approx. 2 inches wide by 8 inches in length (all dimensions are from memory). Remove the trap door and pull out the filter. If you start pulling straight down, the filter will hit the floorboard. At that point start bending the filter. It's meant to be removed that way since the filter appears to be articulated along its edge and very pliable. Replacement is the same. I bent the filter to look like a "J" and fed it into the filter holder slowly. Close the trap door and replace the panel. Done.
I replaced mine after only 6 months from new since major construction in the Chicago area plugged it quickly. It also was holding some leaves that were decomposing causing a rather peculiar odor.
