LSD was a very rare and expensive dealer installed option. It is identified by a Volvo metal tag that states it is a LSD differential and the lube spec. The tag is generally under a differential cover bolt on the right hand side of the cover. I have only seen one in the wrecking yards in many years of looking, and that one is in my 745T. As mentioned in another post, the Volvo LSD is a clutch type. The clutch type compromises hard cornering, and the gear type mentioned does have advantages. I would be glad to trade my clutch type LSD for the gear type. --
