If everything else is OK you can take the pump you have to an authorized Bosch diesel outlet and have it rebuilt.There is really not much to it.I had one done in 92 and it cost me $350.00 with a year warranty.Was still running fine when I sold the car in 96.It is probably substantially more now but still way less than an exchange rebuilt pump.Look a rebuilder up in the truck section of the Yellow pages.
