ECU for the 89 is a 561.
the 951 is interchangeable with the 561 and is less troubleprone.
you should try to get a 951. --

Yes 951 is the upgrade, 561 and 572 will work. I have seen a 556 in a 90 740 non turbo, may well be the same thing with or without any up grades. Brian
